It is also called as "Fan Palm" because of the shape of leaves which resemble like a handfan, and it is traditionally used in China as a handfan, from where it originated.

Description

The leaves are palmately compound and individual portions that arise from a single common point are known as Segments.
The flowering season is from late spring to early summer.
